So your experiencing hair loss, what’s the next step?


Hair loss can be very scary. I would say mostly for women but after doing this for a little while now I can tell you men and children are just as concerned when they have this experience.

First and far most do get a clear idea about why you are experiencing hair loss. After that’s been determined and a treatment plan put in place then your ready to move forward. So what does that look like?


Sometimes moving forward may mean wearing a protective style such as twist, braids or a natural hair style or maybe even a unit. This discussion should be had with your Certified Trichologist. Many times your hair needs a break from all manipulation and given a chance to grow out without dealing with manipulation which could cause split ends. Rest from heat damage. Your scalp needs a break from being covered up by wigs, hats and scarves as well. Sometimes when your hairline is fragile the friction from wearing scarves, wigs, hats could cause more damage than good.


The key is to find a style that will allow you to look good for your day to day life and still protect your hair so that you can achieve your desired results


Managing the effects of hair loss can be a challenge but with the help of certified Trichologist the two of you should be able to come up with a solution that will work for you. The key is to be open to change and realize you may have to step out of your comfort zone and take the advice of the professional. Try something that’s new and different.


One of The keys to managing the effects of hair loss is to be open to change and open to hear the advise of the professional even though it may not be your desired style embrace it temporarily while you work toward achieving your desired results.
